My parents won’t pay for my phone so I was wondering if I could use Virgin Mobile. If not, are there any other pay as you go services I could use?
no
Do you have to be 18 years old or older in order to buy and use a Virgin Mobile pay as you go cell phone?

try cingular prepaid its great if youre on a budget and the phones are just as cool and you prob wont have any extra connection fees which im sure virgin mobile has somewhere.
since the virgin mobile is prepaid you prob dont have to be 18 but you may need credit card. go to bestbuy and pick up a box for more info.

No age limit to purchase it, or activate it, or pay-as-you-go. However you have to be 18+ to use the VM Credit Card, but you don’t have to be 18 to use or have the Debit Card, for that the age limit is 13+, but a parent has to do the application for you, but the debit card is under your name.
Edit: Don’t follow the advice above, I’ve used both Cingular & VM for my lil one, and I can assure you, with Cingular over a year you spend over $100 more then VM, and they over no where near the features and most of the "entertainment" features that VM offers free are either not available with Cingular or are charged for.
Edit 2.0: Also the one below is incorrect, you don’t have to have a credit card for VM. So there is no reason to need your parent’s card or for them to purchase it for you.

Probably not, seeing that you’re not having to sign a contract saying that you will pay monthly for their service.

I don’t think that you have to be over 18. I didn’t use Virgin Mobile, I used Tracfone, and I didn’t have a problem (I’m 14). Go for it – the worst thing someone can say is "I’m sorry, you’re not old enough to buy this" Search around for the best value too, and make sure the company that you chhose covers your area.

It’s not that you have to be 18 years old to use a cell phone! You have to be able to PAY for a cell phone. Cell phones are expensive and can add up if you use it a lot or if you get the wrong deal. I too have virgin mobile phone and the deal I get for it is great, but you have to have a job in order to pay for a cell phone and your parents will have to agree to you having one. If your parents are willing to pay for your phone then you are very lucky, if not then get a job.

No you don’t hun, you can walk into any store,Radio Shack ect.. and tell them what phone you want to buy and how many minutes you want with it and they’ll want your information, name, address, ect… and your good to go. You don’t even have to let your parents know you have one. Good luck.:)
