I purchased the Samsung Intercept from Sprint at the Best Buy Mobile booth, and I didn’t even know it was supposed to be released on July 11th (purchased on July 3rd). The shipment arrived to some Best Buy stores on July 2nd, and as many people know this phone is not even listed on Sprint’s website.
If you have any questions about the phone, please ask away!
I will be doing a review of the phone once I get to use it some more.

FYI to everyone: If you go to sprint’s website and search “intercept”, there are like 100 virtual tutorials with the phone. I did some and it’s cool to see the phone and lots of hands-on features.

hey I am getting my …
hey I am getting my first phone soon because I finally have enough money to afford 70 bucks a month from sprint. So I was going to get the Moment a month ago until I saw the Intercept was coming out so I decided to wait a month or two. So is this a pretty good phone for my first smart phone? I already heard some minor bad stuff like its uploading speed etc from likely big phone fans and reviewers but I am guessing they are just comparing from other phones in their mind. so a good phone for me?

Does the intercept have voice dialing. On both my Instinct and my daughters Moment there is a voice dialing button the side of the phone and I don’t see the activation button on that phone.

Sorry …
Sorry Firestormcompters, you waited too long, official release of specs:
The Intercept measures 4.4 by 2.2 by 0.6 inches, users can expect a talk time up to 6.4 hours, and there’s 800Mhz processor, 512MB of ROM and 256MB of RAM on board. The processor — which Sprint describes as making navigation “a snap†— is the Samsung S3C410, same as in the Samsung Moment.

All published …
All published reports indicate that this phone has only the slower, obsolete EVDO rev0 instead of the current revA. Also, this phone has no flash. But most importantly…
Multiple sources say that the Samsung Intercept has only a 240×400 screen, of lower resolution than the 320×480 on the Moment. The speaker in this video claims that the resolution is 480×800, but how does he know for sure?

Can you plz connect that to WIFI – then turn off wifi, and launch something that downloads data (pandora perhaps?) then back ground it and launch Youtube, and view anything that’s larger than ~ 5 minutes and put it in HD, and let us know if it melts down like the moment does doing this same activity? (I can melt my moment at will doing the above…)

Ok So I have the …
Ok So I have the Moment and would not get this phone for the mere fact that its pretty much the same actually not as good WHY??? did they not include a flash on the camera like the Moment has which works great and is a bright camera flash what a dumb move! Guess Sprint wants people to get a higher end phone too bad for those wanting a mid range phone. Camera Flash is a must for me the Moments works great! at night and it should be standard on these devices. I wouldnt consider this an upgrade.
